The LA Galaxy earned a 1-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes in the 106th edition of the California Clásico at Dignity Health Sports Park. Joseph Paintsil scored the decisive goal in the 79th minute, finishing off a low cross from Harbor Miller to give the Galaxy the lead. JT Marcinkowski and the Galaxy defense held firm for the clean sheet, making five saves and preserving the three points. The match also marked Hirving “Chucky” Lozano’s first start and home debut for the Galaxy, with the Mexican forward playing roughly 65 minutes as he continued his integration into his new club.
