Heads shake with confusion as the Houston Dynamo stun LAFC at home.
At first it seemed as though LAFC was hungry to take the lead early with three different chances in the back but Houston quickly took a hold of wheel with a screamer from Mc Glynn to the top left corner. Then again in the 34th Guilherme scored on a free kick that deflected off an LAFC defender and past Hugo Lloris. To close the half LAFC responded with a goal of their own by Nathan Ordaz in a play set up by Shaffelburg and Eustáquio.
We expected locker room talks to go down for LAFC during the half who need to gain the equalizer but things didn't quite turn out that way. A poor giveaway from LAFC found Houston on the breakaway and Mateusz Bogusz scored after collecting his own rebound in the box. Houston continued to maintain possesion throughout the second half and McGlynn again found the bottom coner to put Houston up 4 in Los Angeles.
Houston took control early and never really let LAFC settle into the game. Former LAFC midfielder Mateusz Bogusz scored against his old club, and Houston’s attack kept exposing LAFC on the counter. LAFC struggled defensively and looked out of sync without some of their usual sharpness in transition.
LAFC’s only goal came late, but by then the match was basically decided. Houston were way more clinical with their chances and punished almost every major mistake. The loss dropped LAFC to 6 wins, 3 losses, and 3 draws on the season.
