LAFC stuns Messi and Inter Miami with 3 goals at the Los Angeles Memorial Colesium

MLS soccer kicked off its home opener with a historic match at a historic venue. Los Angeles FC gave Messi a frustrasting night while putting three goals past the Miami side. With the second highest MLS attendence record, the historic Los Angeles Memorial Colesium gave way to more than 75,000 fans to see the epic match up between both sides.
Goals scored by LAFC included:
37’ – David Martínez opened the scoring for LAFC after an assist from Son Heung-min, giving LAFC a 1–0 lead before halftime.
73’ – Denis Bouanga doubled the lead with a header and finish after a long pass from Timothy Tillman.
90+4’ – Nathan Ordaz sealed the game with a late goal assisted by Bouanga.
LAFC dominated most of the match, controlling chances and keeping Lionel Messi and Miami’s attack from scoring. The win was a statement start to the season, while Miami—coming in as the 2025 MLS Cup champions—began their title defense with a tough loss.
