Record breaking crowds in Denver

Inter Miami traveled to Colorado at a strange moment in their season. The team had just gone through a coaching change, and they were facing the Rapids in front of a huge crowd of more than 75,000 fans in Denver.

Miami got off to a great start when Lionel Messi scored from the penalty spot, and just before halftime Germán Berterame headed in a second goal to give Miami a 2–0 lead. The score made it look like Miami was in control, but Colorado had been creating chances and wasn't ready to quit.

The Rapids came out flying in the second half. Rafael Navarro pulled one back with a strong individual effort, and only a few minutes later Darren Yapi scored to tie the game 2–2. The momentum had completely shifted, and it looked like Miami might let the lead slip away.

With the game hanging in the balance, Messi delivered the moment everyone came to see. In the 79th minute, he cut inside and curled a beautiful shot into the corner of the net to put Miami back in front. Colorado kept pushing, but Miami held on for a dramatic 3–2 victory.

The win was an important one for Miami. It helped steady the team after a difficult week and moved them near the top of the Eastern Conference standings, sitting in second place and keeping pace with the league's best teams. It was one of those matches where Miami didn't dominate, but Messi's brilliance was enough to make the difference.
