All Gas, No Dallas: LAFC Controls Another Night at BMO

Another night at BMO. Another strong result for LAFC.

From the opening whistle to the final kick, LAFC controlled and dictated the pace, earning a 2–0 win over FC Dallas. Goals from Nathan Ordaz and Denis Bouanga proved enough on the scoresheet, while LAFC’s defense allowed just a single shot on target across 90 minutes.

Their ninth win of the season bumps LAFC up to sixth place in the Western Conference and adds to their growing summer momentum.

LAFC opened up the match in the 31st minute. Ordaz made the most of a fluid buildup, slipping into space and finishing from inside the box for his fifth goal of the season. He was set up by Denis Bouanga and Mark Delgado — a reward for the home side’s mounting pressure.

Bouanga doubled the lead just before the half. The winger drew a penalty after slicing through the FC Dallas defense and slotted it home with confidence for his 10th goal of the year.

From there, LAFC stayed in command.

The second half saw more possession, more control, and little resistance from Dallas. The visitors struggled to create anything meaningful in the final third, while LAFC comfortably saw out the match.

Hugo Lloris made his 50th appearance for the club and recorded his eighth shutout of the season, anchoring a back line that continues to settle into form — even while losing captain Aaron Long to injury in the 76th minute.

LAFC looked every bit in sync on Saturday night, and they’re trending up as the race in the West heats up.

Next up: A trip to face second-place Minnesota United FC on July 16, followed by a highly anticipated El Tráfico clash with rivals LA Galaxy back at BMO Stadium on July 19.
